Bruce Jenner is 'approving all the scenes' in his upcoming E! series.
Following
the former Olympian confirming the reports that he is in the process of
transitioning into a woman, a new eight-episode programme will follow
his journey.
And it has been claimed that Bruce is taking an
active role in the production of the show, which premieres on July 26,
to ensure that it portrays him the way he wants to be seen by fans.
'He
is a perfectionist and is approving all the scenes,' a source told
Entertainment Weekly magazine. 'He seems excited to continue to share
his journey, and is happy that his new show has an air date. Over the
years, many times when Kris kept criticising him and bossing him around,
the film crew wished that he would speak up for himself. He finally
gets to live the life that he wished to have for so long.'
Details
of the series have yet to be revealed. However, the source added to the
outlet that Bruce's ex-wife Kris Jenner and their daughters Kendall and
Kylie Jenner are expected to make an appearance in the programme.
Since
Bruce confirmed his transition during an interview with Diane Sawyer,
he has been praised by fans worldwide for doing his bit to make a
difference for the 700,000 transgender people in America.
And he
is said to be hoping that the follow-up series will also prove helpful
for those who may be struggling with their identities.
'He was a
motivational speaker,' the source said. 'If that community is in peril
and if Bruce can contribute to helping normalise it, that's very
exciting to him.'
