Rebecca Ferguson wants to feel "uncomfortable" in a role.
The Swedish actress is quickly becoming a big name thanks to landing the part of Ilsa in Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation. Having starred in TV shows and smaller projects until appearing in last year's action flick Hercules, Rebecca is ready for a new realm of acting.
"I look forward to reading a script where I call my agent and go, 'What the f**k are you thinking' Of course I can't do this!' I'd like to be uncomfortable and challenge that," she told Total Film magazine.
Rebecca stars opposite Hollywood hero Tom Cruise in Rogue Nation, with the star fronting the last four features. Chemistry was important during auditions as it was vital for such a big collaboration to appear natural on screen, and she was extremely keen to work with the 53-year-old actor.
The movie is packed full of stunts and Tom is known for being a daredevil on set by always taking them on himself. Rebecca also wanted to prove her worth, but found it tricky when she had such an expert by her side.
"No, it was all new to me. There was a lot of training to be able to look professional doing it, and knowing why you're doing it," she explained. "Everything that's involved in a highly action-filled movie - underwater training, how to ride a bike, to be able to sprint and run and try to even catch up to the shadow of Tom Cruise, when he Formula 1's by you on two legs!"
Luckily she won over the star, who dubbed her "magical" in front of the camera earlier this year.
