Teenage film critic Jackson Murphy tweeted a photo of himself with the Trainwreck star on the red carpet at the Critics' Choice Awards on Sunday (17Jan16), but his sexist caption prompted Schumer to respond with dismay.
Jackson wrote, "Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certainly not the first guy to write that."
Amy saw the tweet and responded, "I get it. Cause I’m a whore? Glad I took a photo with you. Hi to your dad.”
The young critic has since deleted his post, and written an apology, which reads: "@amyschumer I truly apologize. Thought you'd like the joke. I should leave the comedy to you!
"Thanks for the photo. Glad you won last night! I truly apologize for the tweet I posted earlier. I’m not a comedian and it wasn’t funny."
The actress/comedienne accepted the red-faced youngster's apology, adding, "That's really okay honey. I just remember thinking you and your dad were sweet and it was a bummer to read that."
Amy was a double winner at the Critics' Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California - she picked up the Best Actress in a Comedy for Trainwreck and the ceremony's MVP Award.
