SEE Chris Young: Don't believe Miranda rumours!

Chris-Young:-Dont-believe-Miranda-rumours!
Chris Young has denied having anything to do with Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton's divorce.

The country superstars announced on Monday they had made the decision to end their four-year marriage and shortly after the former couple's statement was released, allegations emerged Miranda cheated on Blake with Chris.

However, Chris was quick to reassure fans that he had not contributed to the breakup of the country music industry's most famous couple.

'I don't normally address gossip but in this case I will,' he posted on Twitter. 'My name has been mentioned as a contributing factor in Blake and Miranda's divorce. That is totally FALSE. They are both my friends and I would not betray that friendship. Just wanted to clear that up. Love you guys ' CY.'

The rumours stemmed from an image of Miranda and Chris 'acting like a couple' during a night out at Losers Bar in Nashville, Tennessee, on February 23.

Reports also claim the pair's close friendship even led Blake to question whether or not the relationship was more than just platonic.

Chris and Miranda have been friends for many years, with the bearded musician even acting as the opening act on Miranda's 2012 On Fire Tour.

Miranda and Blake announced the end of their marriage with a joint statement released to the Associated Press.

'This is not the future we envisioned," the statement read. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."

Blake, 39, and Miranda tied the knot in a star studded Texas ceremony witnessed by famous faces including Katherine Heigl, Reba McEntire, Cee Lo Green and Kelly Clarkson.

While the couple have no children together, the news marks the second divorce for Blake, who was previously married to Kaynette Williams from 2003 to 2006.
